Global Water customers will see higher bills starting Dec. 1

Global Water Resources customers will start paying more for water next month after the Arizona Corporation Commission approved new rates, according to InMaricopa.

The company said the increase will add less than $3 a month to a typical residential water bill beginning Dec. 1. For customers who also receive wastewater service, the overall change could be smaller if a larger wastewater credit takes effect in December, pending commission approval.

If that credit is approved, Global Water said the combined water and wastewater change would raise a typical residential customer’s monthly bill by about $1.56. The adjustment comes after months of review and negotiations over the company’s proposed rate increase.

Global Water President and CEO Ron Fleming said inflation has risen 25% since the company’s last rate adjustment. Global Water provides water service to Maricopa, neighborhoods southwest of the city and the Red Rock community.

Customers with questions can contact Global Water Resources at CustomerService@gwresources.com or 866-940-1102, according to the company.
