LISA’s new solo EP Press Play has taken the top spot in Billboard’s latest new music poll, according to Billboard.
Readers voted in the poll published Friday, Oct. 23, and chose the six-song release as their favorite new music of the week. It finished with 87% of the vote, ahead of new releases from Hilary Duff, John Mayer, ATEEZ, Miley Cyrus and others.
Press Play arrived Friday alongside a music video for “Tarantino.” The EP followed last month’s pre-release single “SaWaDiKa,” and LISA is credited as a songwriter on all six tracks.
Billboard also noted that the title of the project comes from a line in “Tarantino”: “It’s a movie baby, come and press play.” LISA has a mini Las Vegas residency scheduled for Nov. 12-14 and Nov. 27-29.
