Lola Young has been confirmed as a surprise addition to the closing afternoon of Reading 2026, according to NME. The singer is set to take to The Grid at 3:15pm on Sunday, August 30.
The last-minute reveal follows other secret sets at the festival, including appearances from Jamie T and Royal Blood on Friday. NME reported that none of the secret acts are performing at the Leeds site.
Today’s show will be Young’s Reading and Leeds debut and one of her first major UK festival performances since returning to live music. She previously paused her 2025 tour to recover from exhaustion after collapsing on stage in New York City.
Young later said she sought treatment for addiction during that break and attended AA meetings. Speaking to NME earlier this year, she said she felt “in a much better place” and was excited to perform and release music again.
