Vincent Manfredi is asking Maricopa voters to give him another term on City Council, according to a letter published by InMaricopa. He said his campaign was about giving residents a record they could review and continuing the work he believes still needs to be done.
Manfredi pointed to transportation as a major focus of his time in office, including the SR 347 project moving into construction. He said years of coordination and funding commitments helped move the widening forward, and said he supported Maricopa’s local investment because waiting longer would have added costs for people who use the road.
He also said Maricopa needs stronger regional cooperation on projects that cross city, county and tribal boundaries. Manfredi said he has worked to keep the city’s needs in front of decision-makers and to push for more dependable routes into and out of Maricopa, including the Green Road Loop and a possible Seed Farm Road connection.
In the letter, Manfredi also discussed fiscal discipline, public safety, small business growth and water concerns. He said he supported reducing the city’s primary property tax rate and backing the half-cent transportation sales tax, and said he advocated for 12 additional firefighters, six police officers and two police lieutenants in this year’s budget. He added that he raised residents’ concerns about water costs and quality with the Arizona Corporation Commission.
Manfredi said he has accepted no campaign donations in this election and emphasized that his responsibility is to residents. He is asking for votes in the Maricopa City Council race on Nov. 3.
