Maricopa resident Melody Morris joins cast of ‘Big Brother’ Season 28

A Maricopa-area woman is set to compete on the new season of CBS’s Big Brother, according to InMaricopa. Melody Morris, 24, was announced as one of 14 houseguests vying for the show’s $750,000 grand prize.

In a cast introduction video posted to YouTube, Morris described herself as “ambitious, bold and funny.” She also said she expects other contestants may underestimate her as “just some dumb typical blonde sorority girl.”

“Some of those things are true,” she said. “But I am very intelligent, I’m very quick-witted and I know how to get what I want.”

According to her online résumé, Morris studied sports journalism at Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism. Her background includes work as a sports reporter for the Arizona Interscholastic Association, a social media manager for Cronkite News and a stand-up comedian. She now works as a game show host for Game Show Battle Rooms.

Morris’s mother, Liz Morris Seymour, confirmed her participation in the show but did not add further details. Big Brother, now in its 28th season, premieres Thursday at 8 p.m. on CBS and will also stream on Paramount+.
