Medical examiner identifies 2 killed in Glennwilde house fire

The Pinal County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the two people killed in a house fire in Maricopa earlier this month, according to InMaricopa.

The victims were 50-year-old Shannon Cogburn and 51-year-old Jason Liddle. The medical examiner has not confirmed how either person died.

The fire broke out around 11:36 a.m. on Aug. 1 at a home in the Glennwilde area near Portarosa Drive and Corvalis Lane. Fire crews from Chandler and Phoenix also responded to the scene.

At the time of the fire, a Maricopa Fire/Medical Department spokesperson said an arson investigator was working with police to determine what caused the blaze. This week, police said the incident remains under investigation and no additional information is available for release.
