Rex Orange County shared the stage with Turnstile frontman Brendan Yates and Tyler, The Creator in London this week, according to NME.
At an intimate show at Village Underground on Thursday, August 27, Rex Orange County, whose real name is Alexander James O’Connor, surprised the crowd by bringing out Yates. The two debuted an unreleased song called “Elvis,” which starts with a simple guitar part before building into strings and flute.
During Tyler, The Creator’s All Points East takeover the following day, Rex Orange County appeared again after performing his own set earlier in the day. He and Tyler teamed up for “Boredom,” their collaboration from Tyler’s 2017 album Flower Boy.
The Village Underground show also served as a warm-up ahead of Tyler’s All Points East appearance, which featured a number of guest performers across the festival weekend. Rex Orange County also released the single “Indecision” earlier this month, featuring Daniel Caesar, according to NME.
